What to Check??

So I'm looking at a 96 KLX650R tonight. Seems like the fellow has gone through it pretty thoroughly. Looks in nice shape. Any thing in particular to watch out for? Will take it for a rip and go through the gears and see if has the manual tensioner on it. Standard check like bearings, brakes etc. Just wondered if there was anything in particular for the 650R or something to ask. Be my first big bore thumper. (spent some time on my buddies XR650R though) Coming off a 07 RMZ250, then a 97 CR500 prior to that (and a bunch of old Yamaha IT's years ago) ....... looking for something a bit more comfy to boot around the woods with the kids (kdx220 klx140) And as they ride green, I figure I would too...... plus I like "odd ball" and big bore bikes!
