R cylinder boring
I was a member over on yahoogroups, and read the entire ADV thread. Thought I’d get some information sharing/dialogue started.
I have a 1996 klx650R, with SM wheels and the factory wheels. Currently running the factory wheels because in Kansas a straight gravel road is slightly more exciting that a straight paved road!
I recently redid the top end on my engine due to oil consumption and a patch of Nikasil missing. I sent the cylinder off to US chrome and had them bore it and replate it. I went with a bore to accommodate the Wiesco 101mm piston for this bike. So far, so good, still breaking it in. I should also mention this is my first dirt bike so I’m learning how to ride off road on it.
